16 ವೊಳಗುಳ [ಗದೆ] ಮೂಗಂಡುಗದ ಮೂ 100 ನೊ [ಜಾ]ಡಿಯಲು ನಿ[ಟಿ] –

17 ಲೆಯ ಅಡಿಗಳ ಮಕಳಿಂದಂ ಕ್ರಯವಾಗಿ ಬಂದ ಬಾಳ ಚತುಸೀಮೆ

18 ಜಗದಾರಾದ್ಯರ ಬಾಳಿಂದಂ ಪಡುವಲು ತೋಡಿಂದಂ ಬಡಗಲು ವೆ[ಯಿ] –

19 ಜಂಣನ ಬಾಳಿಂದ ಮೂಡಲು ಹೊಳೆಯಿಂದಂ ತೆಂಕಲು ಯಿಂತೀ ಚ –

20 ತುಸೀಮೆಯ ವೊಳಗುಳ ಗದೆ ಮೂಗಂಡುಗದ ಮೂಳಿಂ ವುಪೂರಬಾಳಗಡಿ

21 ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರಿಂದಂ ಕ್ರಯವಾಗಿ ಬಂದ ಹೊಳಿಯ ಕೆಱೆಯ ನಾಕು ಗಡಿ ಇ –

22 ದರ ವೊಳಗುಳ ಬಾಳುಗಡಿ ಮೂಗಂಡುಗದ [ಮೂ] 100 ಅಂತು ಯಿ ಮೂ –

KATLETALA, PUTTUR TALUK, SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT.

Slab set in front of the well called the Pustaka-tīrtha

Bukka I, 1361 A.D.

This damaged record registers an endowment of land for burning a perpetual lamp in the maṭha of Kaṭlavāḍi, a hamlet of Nayirāḍi, by Mādarasa who was governing Maṅgaḷūru-rājya.

It is dated Śaka 1282, Plava, Mēsha 5, Sunday. The details are irregular. The cyclic year Plava corresponded with the Śaka year 1283 when the given tithi fell on 1361 A.D., March 30, the weekday being Tuesday.
