TRANSLATION

Success! Ōṁ! Adoration to Brahman!

(Verse 11) From him was born Pṛithvīdēva (II) as a cub is from a lion; who, having the strong body of a lion, destroyed his enemies like a troop of elephants.^Â¹4

(V. 12) From him was born Jājalladēva (II) who was devoted to the feet of the three-eyed (god Śiva) as a bee is to lotuses, and who was to the faces of the wives of hostile warriors as the rise of the moon is to day-lotuses; the world being whitened by

¹ Read - -संज्ञं.
² Metre: Indravajrā.
³Hiralal reads धीरु, but the first akshara is clearly थी.
⁴ Hiralal reads यक्षेण. The first akshara is imperfectly incised, but as the second is clearly च्छे,
the intended reading is evidently कृच्छेण. See the form of च्छ्‌ in - -भवच्छीमा- in 1.5.
⁵ Metre: Indravajrā.
⁶ Read शंखो.
⁷ Read छ्त्रं.
⁸Read स्वर्ग्ग: फलमनुत्तममू. Metre of verses 20-25; Anushṭubh.
⁹ Read यो हरेत वसुन्धराम्‌.
¹⁰ Read हन्ति जातानजातांश्‍च.
¹¹ Metre: Vasantatilakā.
¹²The third figure of this date is, except for a short tail below, completely lost. Hiralal read it as 2, but this is impossible. It may have been 9. See above, pp.529-30.
¹³Read आग्रहायणे ब दि ५ शुक्रे. Monkey
. ¹⁴ This is followed by an incomplete quarter of another verse meaning ‘From him was born . . . . [whose fame] was sung by the three worlds.' The verse has not been completed.
