10 The visarga dropped by sandhi is required to be restored to suit the metre.

13 Probably दक्षिण was incised before
कोशल.

15 The context requires some words like न समोऽस्य here.

17 Kielhorn read -
-वसे(शे)[षम]तनु-,
but the reading does not give a good sense. Of the two
doubtful letters the first is more like च than ष,and the second is probably ष, The dictionaries give
असेचन
in the sense of 'charming', 'lovely'.
