____________________________________________________

[1] The visarga-sign was inserted subsequently.
[2] Sandhi is violated here and in some instances below. The word kalpita here means fixed of settled.
[3] Faint traces of the superscript letter are visible.
[4] Read श्र्पंशाष्टकं as suggested by Dikshit, or श्र्पंशाः श्र्पष्ट.
[5] The superscript of this akshara is engraved as avagraha
[6] The correct from of this is श्र्पसुरेश.
[7] It can also be read as श्र्पविधा. Sandhi is violated here and in several places below, which are not noted separately.
[8] The pṛishṭha-mātrā of गो shows a fine curve.
[9] Read श्र्पंशपञ्चकम् or श्र्पंशाः पञ्च. The pravaras of the Pārāśara gōtra are three and not five, as wrongly mentioned here.
[10] The second akshara of this name can also be read as दु.
[11] Both these letters are damaged and the reading is doubtful.
