When the anthology went out of vogue in later times, some of its verses seem to have been incorporated into the earlier anthology of Hāla. This appears to be the only satisfactory explanation of the statements of Daṇḍin and Uddyōtanasūri regarding the fifty-six poets and their work Sētu.
