South Indian Inscriptions |
INCRIPTIONS OF THE KALACHURIS OF TRIPURI BILHARI STONE INSCRIPTION OF YUVARAJADEVA II pāţaka are probably represented by modern Naigawān, 2 miles to the south, and Kailwārā1, 7 miles to the north-east of Bilhāri. Sajjāhali may be Sajharā in the Murwārā tahsil, and Gōshthapālī Gatākhėrā, 10 miles almost due east of Bilhāri. Tripurī, which was the capital of the Kalachuris, is now represented by the small village of Tēwar, 6 miles from Jabalpur. Soubhāgyapura is probably Sohāgpur, the chief town of the Sohāgpur tahsil in the Vindhya Pradesh. Lavananagara, Durlabhapura and Vimānapura I am unable to identify.
