1 The box at the top of वा is not completely incised.
2 All other Vākāṭaka grants discovered so far read गौतमीपुत्रस्य पुत्रस्य,thus making the construction
ambiguous. The reading in the present plates shows that the adjectival expressions from अत्यन्तस्वामि- महाभैरवभक्तस्य onwards qualify रुद्रसेनस्य.
3 This expression is unnecessarily repeated.
4 Read पृथिवीषेणस्य.
5 Read सुतायां
6 Read धृत-.
7 लौहनगरभोगे.
8 Read राजकीयमानेन.
9 The engraver has cancelled a redundant stroke on the left of ता.
10 Read प्रयोज्यानि and विज्ञ्प्त्या दत्तानि.
11 The construction is faulty here. We should have either एषा [भूमि:*]प्रतिसृष्टा or एषो[स्रहार:*]प्रतिसृष्ट:.
12 Read मर्य्यादां विताराम:. The writer has forgotten that the present grant was made to a temple and
not to Brāhmaṇas versed in the four Vēdas. Notice व्राह्मणैर्व्वेदितस्य in lines 36-37 below. Some of the
prohibitions and exemptions laid down here are appropriate only in the case of a gift of a whole village.
