[2] Read बीडानुवुत्त्या (corresponding to Kannaḍa bīḍinoḷ, meaning ‘following the custom in a camp’). Ep. Ind. Vol. XXIII, p. 34, n. 1.
[3] These two terms are written as मलवं and कुरुवं in line 38, below.
[4] The names of this and the following two Brāhmaṇas who were distinguished for their learning are used in the plural
