INSCRIPTIONS OF THE SILAHARAS OF NORTH KONKAN
village in the group of twelve, in which the donated village was situated, cannot now be traced
in the vicinity[1], but the boundary villages Dōṇā, Dhavalā and Kuḍisavarā can be identified
in the vicinity of Vāṁgaṇī. The last of these now bears the name Kuḍasavarē. The river men-
tioned as forming the northern boundary of the donated village is evidently the present
Ulhāsa, which flows in the neighbourhood.
