EPIGRAPHIA INDICA

Tiruttoṇḍiśvaram-Uḍaiyār of Tirunāvalūr alias Rājādittapuram of Mēlūr-nāḍu in Tirumunaippādi, a subdivision of Rājarāja-vaḷanāḍu :─ One makaratōraṇa weighing 100 kalañju of gold ; nine and three-fourths fineness ; One crescent weighing 3 kalaṅju of gold ; eight and three-fourths fineness ; One abhishēka (-vessel) for the dancing god weighing 20 kalañju of gold ; nine and a half fineness ; One silver dish for offering food weighing 1504½ kalañju and 2 mañjāḍi and 4 ; One kachchukkōram of silver called after the name Araśanārāyaṇan weighing 224 kalañja; One dish in bell-metal called after Āḷappirandān weighing 200 palam ; One tiruvaṭṭaṇaikkāl in tarā weighing 185 palam : and one pair of horns (ōraṇai) in tarā weighing 36 palam. Besides the above, the same chief gave to the god Tiruttoṇḍīśvaram -Uḍaiyār the pāḍikāval incomes from the lands of the two villages Tirunāvalūr alias Rājādittapuram and Kārāṇai alias Vīraśōlanallūr.

In the 13th year of the reign of Tribhuvanachakravartin Śrī-Kulōttuṅgaśōladēva, Araśanārāyaṇan Āḷappirandān alias Vīraśēkharan Kāḍavarāyan of Kūḍal gave to the temple at Tiruvaṇṇāmalai, one ēkāvallivaḍam. It had in it 100 big pearls of the size of embolic myrobalans, two pendants and one gold string in which they were strung together weighing 130 kalañju.

In the 13th year of the reign of Tribhuvanachakravartin Śrī-Kulōttuṅgaśōladēva, Achalakulōttaman Āṭkoṇḍanāyakan Kāḍavarāyan of Kūḍal gave an ēkāvallivaḍam to the temple of Tiruvīraṭṭānam-Uḍaiyār at Tiruvadigai. It had in it 50 pearls, 49 ….. nails, 101 broad gems, 2 mango-shaped pendants with a hook (kokkuvāy) and an eye (paḍukan). The whole weighed 1041/360 [kaḷañju]. Another ēkāvallivaḍam, in which sapphires and pearls were strung containing 23 pearls, 22 sapphires. 44 gems fastened in the middle, 2 pendants in gold and a hook (kōkkuvāy), presented by the same chief, is said to have weighed 120½ [kalañju].
