States that on the date specified, Rāmasāmi, a gun-lascar attached to the T-Company of the third Battabon of the Madras Artillery, received a gun-shot (mound) on his fore head at the fight at Muruvāḍa and died on Friday early in the morning at 6½ hours and that he was brought to Sleemanābād and buried. The stone is stated to have been set up by Vēṁbilli, his younger brother. Published in IHQ, Vol. XXVIII, pp. 310 ff.

States that on the date specified, when the First Māṭṭin 3rd company of the Madras Native Infantry came on a military march to Silmanabād and lay in camp there, repay Daniel of the 3rd company developed fever and delirium and died at 5½ house. The Christians in the same company as well at the Tent-Lascar Giram Michael are stated to have had the stone tomb erected. Ibid., pp. 394 f.
