Commences with a preamble in Sanskrit prose which states that this is the registration document relating to the apportionment of lands formerly endowed by various rulers for conducting all items of worship, offerings, etc., to god Mahādēva of Śivapura at the instance of Śaṅkaradēva surnamed Arumoḷidēvap-pallavarajyan. The apportionment is stated to have been made by Āryapaṇḍita-Vimalaśiva surnamed Asāṭachatvāriṁśatśahasrabhaṭāra, the son of Āditya, who was the Maṭhādhipatya-kṛit. The Tamil portion gives the details regarding the endowed lands. |
